ERASMUS+ PROJECT - KA 229 School exchange partnership
Subject: Let's Celebrate, Learn, Accept, Play – Let´s C.L.A.P.
Partner countries: Finland, Northern Ireland, Slovakia, Spain, The Netherlands
Duration: 1. September 2018 – 31. August 2020
Participants: 10 – 12 years old pupils
Coordinator: Spain
The objectives and the concrete results we want to achieve through the development of this project are:
• Discover the roots of our cultures and traditions, connecting the past, present and future by
analyzing this evolution along the time and establishing links with our closest ancestors.
• Discover new European cultures and share traditional moments with their inhabitants, finding connections and similarities which will assist us all in gaining a better understanding of our roots and origins.
• Promote the importance of being active European citizens, knowing the possibilities that our
continent offers us, as well as the rights and duties that we have as citizens who live here, planting the seeds of the mobility in them, in order to become a part of a more extensive labor market.
• Improve students’ language and ICT skills by using different digital tools such as web tools,
presentations software, e-books, videos, skype, etc.
• Integrate SEN students educated in all partner schools in a large project allowing them the
exchange ideas through their individual abilities.
• Use the English language as a way of communication in real life situations: in the mobilities to the host countries, skype calls, and being the hostess when receiving members from other places, in order to eliminate the communicative barriers that could exist.
• Discover other languages (oral and written) and cultures through music, dance, folklore, food, daily routines, national costumes, city landmarks, booklets, promoting the fact that the whole educational community was not only involved with learning but also teaching.
• Compare new technologies of education as well as educational systems from several countries, enriching the experience of both students and teachers.
• Involve the staff, families and local institutions, enabling them to take part of the Project, this is essential to its development: their cooperation and collaboration, as well as planning and developing different activities .
• To involve the teaching staff, families and local institutions, enabling them to take part in the project, being essential to their own professional development through their cooperation and collaboration: in the planning and development of the different activities carried out in the centre, in the fostering of the members from other countries, disseminating the project and its results which were obtained before, during and after its delivery, etc.
• Awakening curiosity to discover other places around the world that surround us and increase awareness of intercultural ideas promoting greater awareness regarding the importance of cultural and linguistic diversity in Europe.
